DESCRIPTION:From colleague to supervisor\nA two-day seminar for managers from our own ranks and for newly appointed managers \nGoals\nYou have done it: Congratulations on your leadership position! \nWhat happens after the congratulations\, and how do you make a good start in your first days in the management position? \nIn this two-day seminar you will be given the tools to do so. You will learn how to avoid the pitfalls that often arise when taking on leadership responsibility (especially in your own team/company) and you will work out procedures/learn about different types of behaviour that will enable you to recognise and avoid the pitfalls. \nContents\n\nRole\, tasks and behaviour of “ideal” managers\nManagement styles and personal management style analysis\nMotivational leadership\nEfficient managers vs. effective managers\nDifferent levels of cooperation\nFrom material to management tasks\nCommunicate effectively as a manager\nThe importance of feedback: Improved self-knowledge as a basic prerequisite for successful leadership\nDealing with conflicts and challenging leadership situations\nDeveloping the personal management style – transfer of the findings into practice.\n\nMethodology\nThe practical work and the exchange of experiences among each other are the main focus of the seminar. By working on topics in small groups\, by means of exercises and checklists\, the participants have the opportunity to examine their own behaviour and thus increase their personal impact. New positive attitudes offer alternatives for behaviour and action and give – even in difficult situations – security and self-confidence.
